Computer Aided Design Lab
The Computer Aided Design Laboratory in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at SRM Institute of Science and Technology is located on the first floor of the Mechanical B block in MEB202. The laboratory was established in order to provide modelling and simulation skills to UG, PG students and Research scholars with hands-on experience. Students, research scholars and faculty members are regularly working in 2D and 3D modeling along with finite element analysis software for project and research work. This lab is dedicatedly utilized for analysis of real-time problems using research version analysis software. This lab has a separate demonstration section with projector facility to teach students before their hands-on experience. An individual computer with latest version software is provided to every student during the lab classes. For academic and research work, the workstations are utilized in addition to linking with high performance computing center.
